The place for your youth to climb, explore, and grow after school
After-school clubs at Bouldering Project offer tailored curriculum to young climbers ages 5 to 18. Throughout the semester, we teach climbers foundational skills and help them progress to more advanced techniques and challenges. We emphasize challenge-by-choice, offering enthusiastic direction and feedback, and celebrating every moment of growth. After school clubs at ABP are a great place for your child to develop self-confidence and make new friends!

Tots Climbing Club (Ages 4-6)
Tots Climbing Club is a recreational program designed for ages 4-6 focusing on being active, having fun and promoting a love for climbing from an early age. Bouldering Project instructors provide a supportive environment where each participant will explore the world of bouldering through exciting climbing games and basic instruction. Small class sizes ensure constant guidance and encouragement as these little ones prepare for a future in climbing and tackling new adventures.

Kids Climbing Club (ages 7-9)
Kids Climbing Club offers a fun, creative, and supportive atmosphere that promotes a love of climbing and exercise. Enthusiastic Bouldering Project staff will guide climbers through a youth-driven exploration of climbing fundamentals—helping young boulderers develop confidence, trust, and social skills. Kids Program focuses on group encouragement and support in an active environment.

Youth Climbing Club (ages 10-12)
Youth Climbing Clubs are designed for kids new to climbing as well as those seeking more climbing experience. Games and activities are tailored to the group’s strengths and abilities, ensuring positive and challenging experiences for all involved. With more structured lessons and two days of climbing per week, the Youth Climbing Club engages climbers with activities that promote technique, strength, and balance.

Juniors Climbing Club (ages 13+)
Our after-school Juniors Climbing Clubs offer a collaborative environment for teen climbers to explore more nuanced bouldering technique, identify and work towards goals, and develop their strength, balance, and coordination. Our programs are designed for both new and more experienced climbers alike: instructors will focus on the individual needs of each climber while creating a supportive group atmosphere to build community and love for movement.

Progressive Climbing Club (Ages 7-11 and 12+)
Progressive Climbing Club allows climbers to explore more nuanced bouldering technique, identify and work towards goals, and develop their strength, balance, and coordination. Requires coach approval.

Homeschool Climbing Club (ages 7-12)
We offer a fun, supportive weekly midday climbing program for young climbers who have more flexibility during their school day.
- Youth under the age of 14 must be closely accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Our supervision ratio is 2 to 1; up to 2 youth climbers can be supervised by 1 adult chaperone at a time.
- Stay far from the walls and out of fall zones when moving through the gym or waiting to climb. A “fall zone” is anywhere on the mats where a climber could land if they were to fall.
- Make sure to check where a route ends before starting to climb–some routes are close together or even overlap, and you don’t want to end up directly above, below, or next to another climber.
- This is a climbing gym! Please save running, wrestling, horseplay, and gymnastics for other spaces.
